Mumbai is a city of dreams for one and all, one should only
be keen to realize his or her own dream. Bharat Jadhav a Marathi
stage actor of Sahi-Re-Sahi, a non-stop performing Marathi
play fame, is a case in point to have made a place for himself
through his stupendous acting perfor-mance in this play now
running close to one year with 500 plus shows already. Bharat
Jadhav is now a resident of Hiranandani Garden Powai, for
last few years, this also is a strange coincidence, rather
a fruit of success.
What makes this two and half hours play so sought after. Sahi-Re-Sahi
is a story of a rich man being murdered by his wife and her
lover. His property is taken by them. They counter produce
three dummies for the outside world one : as a LIC Agent,
two : as a truck driver, three : as a villager and fourth
: Bharat Jadhav - his original self, he enacts all the four
roles in the play adding novelty and versatility. Balasaheb
Thackrey happened to see this play and was so impressed to
see his roles and acting of Bharat Jadhav that he complimented
his effort on the spot. Well, this road to fame for Bharat
Jadhav, now 35 years old started in 1985 when he joined a
dance troupe called 'Maharashtrachi Lokdhara' under the able
guidance of Sahir Sable. Alongside, an irregular acting career
he was pursuing his studies too and used to participate in
one act plays for stage around mid nineties. Coming from a
struggling family of Lalbaugh, his father being a taxi driver
and mother a housewife, he is youngest of his sibling lot
having two brothers and a sister.
Today, he is married and settled with 2 children and a supportive
wife who works for BMC. All through-out his family has stood
like an anchor rock supporting and encouraging his talent
to shine finally on the Marathi stage today. His acting prowess,
dialogue delivery, facial expression, crisp move-ments, right
pause in action. A deep resonating voice and above all his
stage presenta-tion style is what sets this stage actor apart.
Combined with hard work, persevera-nce and little bit of luck
has made him a hero of Marathi stage today. With this hit
play he has been noticed by the big wigs of entertainment
industry and has been admired by the likes of Sachin Tendulkar,
Producer Ashok Gaikwad, Producer Vipul Shah, David Dhawan,
Tezaab producer N.Chandra. Work is on to translate this into
Hindi and Gujarati with Paresh Rawal and Sharman Joshi being
roped in. 'Sahi-re-Sahi' is the best thing happened to Marathi
stage recently. All shows go packed and tickets sell out within
just 15 min of the booking windows opening and also tickets
are selling in black market which has happened first time
in the history of Marathi stage play. It is produced by Chintamani
Filims and directed by Kedar Shinde.
Bharat Jadhav's success in Marathi stage is soon going to
open doors for him in Bollywood. He already acted in one of
the Hindi Film against Raveena Tandon. He aspires to do some
remarkable character role to the benefit of entire Indian
audience soon. Today, with success having crowned his acting
career, Bharat has taken things in stride and is much the
same person as he was. He strongly believes in family values,
is god-fearing. He told us "had my family not been supportive,
I would have not been at this juncture today".
