Mumbai is a city of dreams for one and all, one should only be keen to realize his or her own dream. Bharat Jadhav a Marathi stage actor of Sahi-Re-Sahi, a non-stop performing Marathi play fame, is a case in point to have made a place for himself through his stupendous acting perfor-mance in this play now running close to one year with 500 plus shows already. Bharat Jadhav is now a resident of Hiranandani Garden Powai, for last few years, this also is a strange coincidence, rather a fruit of success.

What makes this two and half hours play so sought after. Sahi-Re-Sahi is a story of a rich man being murdered by his wife and her lover. His property is taken by them. They counter produce three dummies for the outside world one : as a LIC Agent, two : as a truck driver, three : as a villager and fourth : Bharat Jadhav - his original self, he enacts all the four roles in the play adding novelty and versatility. Balasaheb Thackrey happened to see this play and was so impressed to see his roles and acting of Bharat Jadhav that he complimented his effort on the spot. Well, this road to fame for Bharat Jadhav, now 35 years old started in 1985 when he joined a dance troupe called 'Maharashtrachi Lokdhara' under the able guidance of Sahir Sable. Alongside, an irregular acting career he was pursuing his studies too and used to participate in one act plays for stage around mid nineties. Coming from a struggling family of Lalbaugh, his father being a taxi driver and mother a housewife, he is youngest of his sibling lot having two brothers and a sister.

Today, he is married and settled with 2 children and a supportive wife who works for BMC. All through-out his family has stood like an anchor rock supporting and encouraging his talent to shine finally on the Marathi stage today. His acting prowess, dialogue delivery, facial expression, crisp move-ments, right pause in action. A deep resonating voice and above all his stage presenta-tion style is what sets this stage actor apart. Combined with hard work, persevera-nce and little bit of luck has made him a hero of Marathi stage today. With this hit play he has been noticed by the big wigs of entertainment industry and has been admired by the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Producer Ashok Gaikwad, Producer Vipul Shah, David Dhawan, Tezaab producer N.Chandra. Work is on to translate this into Hindi and Gujarati with Paresh Rawal and Sharman Joshi being roped in. 'Sahi-re-Sahi' is the best thing happened to Marathi stage recently. All shows go packed and tickets sell out within just 15 min of the booking windows opening and also tickets are selling in black market which has happened first time in the history of Marathi stage play. It is produced by Chintamani Filims and directed by Kedar Shinde.

Bharat Jadhav's success in Marathi stage is soon going to open doors for him in Bollywood. He already acted in one of the Hindi Film against Raveena Tandon. He aspires to do some remarkable character role to the benefit of entire Indian audience soon. Today, with success having crowned his acting career, Bharat has taken things in stride and is much the same person as he was. He strongly believes in family values, is god-fearing. He told us "had my family not been supportive, I would have not been at this juncture today".

PLANET POWAI asked him a few questions :

Q1. Where have you learnt the basics of acting?
A. Now here, I haven't been to any acting school or tutor. Just self-taught.

Q2. How has the culture of Mumbai helped you become zero to hero ?
A. Oh yes! Mumbai is a great place to work. Professionals appreciated my talent, encouraged and gave me the right break.

Q3. Have you earned any adulations and awards ?
A. Yesssssss ! I have been awarded in all my stage plays like All The Best, Amcha Sarkhe Aamich, Adhantar, Srimanta Damodar Pant, Tu Tu Me Me, Paisach Paisa and now Sahi-Re-Sahi, from Maharashtra Kala Niketan Award, Maharashtra Times Award, Zee Alpha Marathi Award, E-TV Marathi Award and other many Sanghathan and Organisations.

Q4. How do you find Powai after Lalbaugh ?
A. It is a great sylvan place. I almost find it like a resort. The greenery, lake and surroundings all invigorate my senses and helps me keep energised.
