Resident Harassed by Consumer Durable company

Dear Editor,
Last month Mr. Manish Singh, a salesman of Eureka Forbes, Aquaguard Division, had visited us at our flat at Westend, Raheja Vihar, to check out the suspended particle level from our existing E-Boiling system, also from the same company. On his advice that we should go for a Total RO Protection, we ordered a new Aquaguard with RO Filtration. The order was placed on 1st July and an amount of 13,500/- was paid vide their receipt no. 067396. The machine was delivered again after repeated daily calls. During installation, we were told that it was a table-top model and not a wall-mounted unit. The sales man, at no stage, did mention this fact to us.
He even went to the extent of measuring the place where the old machine was mounted to check whether there is enough space for the new machine. What is most appalling is that Mr. Manish Singh does not even know the size of the product he is selling. At this juncture, when we contacted Mr. Manish Singh and his Area Supervisor, Mr. Raja Qureshi, to find out a solution wherein the new machine could be fitted in the existing space. But even after 25 days of getting the machine delivered, there has no response from both the above people. I have been trying to contact them on a daily basis. They are neither fixing the new machine nor refunding me the money.
Does a company like Eureka Forbes expect their customers fix the machine themselves? Does their responsibility end once the machine is sold?
This is to warn people who would want to buy Eureka Forbes products, so that they don't get cheated by the so-called salesmen like Mr. Manish Singh and in turn get harassed like me.
