The incorrigible harassing traffic cops

Dear Editor,
This refers to news 'The incorrigible harassing traffic cops'. It is sad to see that we as a society are struggling on such issues at basic level. A bit of a comment on stakeholders:
Traffic Police : It is just not Powai but all over Mumbai, and I dare say, all over India, the traffic police has made this a money making exercise, for themselves and for the govt. There is never any review as to how to bring down this error in public life. The motto being, make it impossible for people to 'not commit this error'.
The Societies: It is a fact of life that visitors would be coming in their vehicle. So where is the parking slot reserved for visitors. And for commercial buildings it is even worse. Visitors are a part and parcel of their business. So it is akin to producing a child and then dumping it off on the road for society to take care. So much for Corporate responsibility that is much touted about.
Builder: He could be least concerned with Parking planning. It is always someone else's child. So while you have the Haiko, the D'Mart, The shopping places, Dining places etc all strewn over the place (which means crores of money) the parking is someone else's problem.
The Residents: A simple self discipline measure of 'Walk within Hiranandani Gardens, it' could go a long way. There is no reason to be going from say Lake Castle to Mainland China for dinner using your car. In fact it would be good even if the person has to walk to Aura from Lake Castle.
All in all it is a classic case of apathy on all fronts. Hum Honge Kamyaab?
