Dear Editor,
Please do something and make Traffic Police proactive than reactive!! Every second day there is traffic chaos at the Nahar and Raheja junctions - two junctions opening into Saki Vihar Road coming from Powai police station and Nahar and another one joining Saki Vihar Road from Raheja. Why can't they deploy three police at these 3 junctions rather than waiting for one hour of traffic standstill?? In Mumbai no one has patience, so everyone will think about their own interest! Whether there is enough place or not but get into the smallest gap and make everyone's life miserable.
Then of course there are big buses and trucks - who are "dadas" of the road. They know nothing can happen to their vehicles so they can do anything on road. Take a "U" turn or turn anywhere.. traffic will have to stop for them. We have to suffer.. poor kids get late for schools.. you can see nervous parents on the wheel or autos! Office-goers are anxious.. getting late for their day. However early you leave, it's never enough - 'coz you never know who will block the road today!
No wonder India is developing for a long time and I think will remain developing for ever! We dream high but pathetic implementation. Keep digging those poor roads.. even four year olds ask why do they keep digging again and again??? Authorities just love to make common man's life miserable.
At least the police can do their little bit by being there on the spot when required. All you need is to be there at the peak hour.
