This is with reference to the news item in your esteemed 'Planet Powai' 04-10th May in front page under the caption “Marathon Stole the Show at 'Powai Festival'”.
Certain mistakes / omission have crept in the said report. Correct name of the winner of Marathon run on 06.30AM on April 27th (Sunday) 2008 for Senior Citizen's category is S. U. Pillay and not V. Pillai as mentioned in your report.
I am a resident of Eden II Co-Op. Housing Society for the last 17 years. I am aged 64 years, a retired Class I officer. I am a keen sportsman and never miss any opportunity in participating in sports and games. I also play lawn tennis and am a good swimmer too. I participated and won a silver medal in the running competition organized by the Hiranandani Gardens Residents' Association, in the year 1992. I have also won medals in tennis. I intend to participate in Mumbai Marathon 2009.
