With the effort of many, especially Shri Arif Naseem Khan, the park finally took shape at Powai Vihar Complex. But I am sorry to mention that the park does not meet the minimum comforts. In many places in the walking path, there is water logging and is highly slippery. One day a senior citizen literally fell down.
Also, there are many stray cattle in search of grass which has sprouted for the monsoon. There is no watchman to check people/animals in/out. Straying dogs and other dogs (owned) also cause fear to the walkers. Having undertaken such a big task, these small problems like water logging, stray animals can easily be solved. I through this esteemed paper, request to do the needful. The maintenance of the park is not satisfactory.
Another big problem in Powai Vihar Complex is that, recently the road was dug to lay pipes (perhaps for gas pipe-line connection). In the process, the tiles which were removed at the side of the road were left unlaid. As it is the Powai Vihar entrance road is narrow and because of the rains and laying of tiles on the sides it is causing lot of problems and traffic jams inconveniencing the locals.
