Dear Editor,
The residents living nearby Ram Ashram Road are having tough time for more than 3 years from the year 2006 on account of fly over construction. They have undergone noise and air pollution apart from the bad roads. After construction of fly over at snail's pace, the flyover was finally completed in the year 2009 but the resident's problems are still persist. For example at the Ram Ashram Road, BEST service facility is not available because there are big pot holes or uneven tiles on the surface of the road due to land sinking in.
There will be always stagnation of water. For catching BEST buss, people have to go a long distance either to "Ajahara' bus stop or 'Shipping Corporation' crossing all the hurdles like stagnated water, uneven service road & traffic. Even the tiles placed on foot paths are not properly laid, hence there is loose debris on it. Hence, people are unable to use the foot paths. Even a small rain results in stagnation of water. The rain water does not go in the drains. People are 'jheloing' all these hurdles silently.
'Planet Powai' is a reputed local paper in our area having wide circulation. I request you to take up 'your area problems' with the appropriate authorities for setting right the things at an early date so that plying of buses in the Ram Ashram service road would be resumed at an early date and other hardship of the people are mitigated. Kindly help us.
