Mr Chowgule (92242 88689 & 9870060544) of Pranjal Advtg had been selling Coupon books of Smoking Lee which also has various coupons like Buy one Get One free (BOGO). This coupon has condition that "Order any main dish & Get Rice + Dessert Free."
When the coupon book was sold for Rs 500, it was explained by the Salesman of Pranjal Advtg that one can order any Rice dish from the menu.
However, when I placed order about 2 weeks back and ordered Veg Schezuan Fried Rice, Smoking Lee told me that I will be charged Rs 25 extra as this Rice is not covered under BOGO offer. I reasoned with him that the coupon says "one Rice dish Free" and no where it is mentioned that any particular rice dish will be free. Finally, Smoking Lee agreed to supply Schezuan Fried Rice without any extra charge.
Today, 17 Jul'10 when I wanted to use the next BOGO coupon, again the same argument started that "Only Rice will be free". I then spoke to Pranjal Advtg's Mr Chowgule who is owner/director and told him of the refusal of Smoking Lee to honour the coupons. Mr Chowgule told me that only "Rice" will be free & not any other type of rice which is a complete turnaround of his earlier statement when he was pleading with us to buy his coupons.
Then there is another coupon which states that "Complementary Bonanza - Get any Chinese Dishes of your choice Free Max Worth Rs 345". However when we wanted to avail this coupon, Smoking Lee again refused stating that "Minimum Order of Rs 145 is to be placed to avail of any offer". Again the Coupon book is silent on this clause. When questioned of the reason of this condition. I was given a response that "Terms & Conditions Apply". However at the time of selling, Chowgule was repeatedly saying that this complementary offer you can order anytime. Is this not cheating?
I wish to bring to the notice of public at large the blatant and fraudulent schemes of Pranjal Advtg, 5/6 Narain Bldg, JD Ambekar Road, Dadar, Mumbai-400014, so that residents of Powai are not conned into buying such schemes in future.
I will be filing a Police complaint of Cheating against Mr Chowgule on this. Those who feel cheated can contact me at 90299 11114 or leave a SMS and I shall call back.
