On 5/10/08 I had purchased a Lakme Face Magic Daily Wear Souffle (Natural Pearl Shade) from the Cosmetic Store at BROWN-N -BROWN Beauty Salon, Galleria, Hiranandani Gardens.
Going by the décor of the Salon and of the brand Lakme I did not bother to check the product at that time, neither did I insist on a bill of Rs 99 only. As per my need I opened the pack only after a fortnight and to my great surprise I found that not only the bottle inside was of a different shade, (The cover had Natural Pearl marked on it, whereas the bottle inside was of Shell Shade) but the content inside had a foul smell and uneven texture. Upon taking back the product, the storekeeper completely denied having sold the product to me but even accused me of trying to pass of my own old product and getting back the money.
In a fit of anger, I threw the bottle at the counter and left, this was the first mistake I made. Secondly, I never bothered to check the product at the time of purchase. Thirdly, I never insisted on a bill. Not that it matters much to me, apart from the fact that a paltry amount has gone waste. But this is to make people aware of the highly unethical attitude of the storekeeper at this Cosmetic Store, at Brown-N-Brown Beauty Salon, Galleria, but also to make them alert not to go by the décor of this Salon and get duped in the process.
