Traffic Police Lax in Adhering to NO ENTRY sTimings At Road Near Jalvayu Vihar

Dear Editor,
I am a resident of Jalvayu Vihar, Hiranandani Gardens, Powai, Mumbai-76. This is a Society of Ex-Air Force & Naval Officers and also has Two Schools - Hiranandani Foundation School and Shetty School.
About a few months back, based on our complaints regarding movement of Heavy Vehicular traffic comprising of Company Buses and trucks carrying construction material, Traffic Police had put No Entry signs for Heavy vehicles.
The Signs were put on the Roads around Jalvayu Vihar as roads go around it.
The No Entry timings as displayed on the No Entry Signs are as below :-
1. 8am to 1pm
2. 4pm to 7pm
3. 8pm to 6am.
However the Heavy vehicle & Company Bus drivers completely ignore these No Entry signs and ply their vehicles round the clock on these roads. This has a grave danger for school children who walk to & fro school, create traffic jams as narrow roads get blocked with heavy vehicles - resulting in Noise pollution by honking. Also the heavy vehicles using the potholed roads create more noise during night - affecting the peaceful sleep of residents.
I have made repeated complaints to the Traffic Control Room 24937755 but no action has been taken to book the offenders or stop the Heavy vehicles from respecting the No Entry signs.
I am requesting you to initiate necessary action to ensure strict compliance to Traffic Police Notices displayed at & around Jalvayu Vihar Roads. This disrespect & No punitive action from Traffic Police only helps in emboldening the drivers of such heavy vehicles in ignoring safety rules.
