I would like to make the customers of Javed Habib outlet at Hiranandani Gardens, Powai aware of a 20% discount offer by HDFC Bank Credit card on the services availed at all outlets of Javed Habib.
Surprisingly, the outlet Manager - Mr Jas is aware of the HDFC Bank Credit card offer but still ignores to give the 20% discount unless specifically asked for.
My wife availed the services on 23 Nov'08 and confirmed that 20% off using HDFC credit card offer is valid. Once her hair job was done, she paid using her HDFC Credit card. As it was already 9pm, she didn't check the bill & rushed home.
She checked the Bill at home and realized that the HDFC 20% discount was NOT given on the bill amount. She called back the outlet next day (24 Nov'08) & was told that now nothing can be done as records have been sent to HO. She was advised that she can avail the discount on her next visit. When she asked to clarify that will the next visit means a 40% discount, she was told it will be 20% only.
When my wife told me what has happened, I called up the outlet & asked to speak to the manager. Mr. Jas came on line and once he was made aware of the offer and the nature of the call, he immediately agreed to refund the 20% of charges. I reminded him that he has also charged 12.36% Service tax on the bill amount which also need to be refunded. Jas then refunded Rs 123 [20% of {Bill amount Rs 550}+ 20%of Service Tax of 12.36%}.
I would like you to give vide publicity so that other patrons of Javed Habib Salon can also get their refund incase they have paid using HDFC Credit card. And also it will enable others who are availing the services to avail of 20% discount by paying using HDFC Credit card.
