Dear Editor,
I received a courier with draft of Rs 3,70,000 on my name. Soon after the draft was delivered to me, two men well dressed came up to my flat and said did you receive any draft yesterday? It got dispatched to you by mistake, it was for some other address and computer mistake it came to your address.
I innocently gave the envelope I had not opened. They told me there was a draft of Rs 3,70,000 in side, I said it does not matter to me. One month latter I get an EMI statement with my credit card statement asking me to pay EMI of 6000 + that I have taken loan on phone with my credit card account. I have called the bank after I got to know that it is a scam.
So you pls let every one you know so that some one else does not get cheated and culprits get punished.
Any information on such fraud please fwd to me since I am going to be dealing with these people (ICICI vigilance) for some time now.
